A.M. P.M. What’s your D.M.?

Media Celebrity

Oprah LifeClassThe Oprah Winfrey Lifeclass came to Toronto!  And I was there!

Lifeclass teachers – Iyanla Vanzant, Tony Robbins, Bishop T.D. Jakes and Deepak Chopra were also there.

Oprah was entertaining and consistently listening for light bulb “Aha! moments”.  Aha! moments are “unforgettable, connect-the-dots moments, when everything suddenly, somehow changed.”

An Aha! moment is a cliché phrase.

The Aha! effect is also known as the eureka effect, named after the myth that Archimedes, having discovered how to measure the volume of an irregular object, leaped out of a public bath, and ran home naked shouting “eureka”.

Over a centry ago, German psyhchiatrist Karl Bühler coined the term Oh!.  To Karl Bühler Oh! was “a peculiar,  pleasure-oriented experience within the course of thought that pops up with the sudden insight into a previously intransparent context.”

Certain words click.

Words within words click.

And without effort, you begin to see and understand something in a different way.

It is a marked moment in time.

It is a D.M.

A D.efining M.oment.

There’s an A.M. and a P.M. to every day.  There are also D.M.’s.

What are your Eureka!  Oh!  Aha!  D.M.’s?

Her presence when she stepped into the room at Convention Centre was beautiful. Everyone took to their feets and began cheering, snapping pictures, tweeting…a moment of graceful glamour. On my phone, I caught an up-close photo of Oprah as she walked by. The day was filled with great speakers. Tony Robbins was excellent.
